Role Summary

We are seeking experienced Tableau professionals to support a federal government client with business intelligence, dashboard development, data visualization, reporting, and analytics initiatives. The successful professional will work with business and technical stakeholders to translate reporting needs into secure, accessible, and actionable Tableau solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and visual analytics.
• Gather and document business, reporting, and data requirements.
• Build effective data visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and drill-down experiences.
• Connect Tableau to enterprise data sources and support data preparation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Optimize dashboard performance, usability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Work with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and project teams.
• Develop technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Support testing, deployment, production troubleshooting, and ongoing dashboard improvements.
• Follow federal security, privacy, information-management, and accessibility requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience developing Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational or analytical data sources.
• Experience translating business requirements into BI and visualization solutions.
• Understanding of data modelling, data quality, performance tuning, and dashboard design practices.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Ability to work in Canada and satisfy applicable federal background-screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tableau certification.
• Federal government or broader Canadian public-sector experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Python, R, ETL tools, APIs, or cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of WCAG/accessibility standards and bilingual reporting requirements.
• Existing Government of Canada security clearance is an asset.
