Role Details

• Position: Test Analyst – Senior
• Contract: 1 year (Possible extension of 12 months)
• Work Mode: Remote within Canada, with occasional on-site meetings/work sessions in Edmonton as required
• Location: Edmonton, Alberta
• Hours: 36.25 hours/week
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM Alberta time

Work Arrangement

• Primarily remote within Canada.
• Occasional on-site attendance in Edmonton may be required with reasonable notice.
• Equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and execute test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, and test plans based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform UAT, functional, regression, enhancement, end-to-end, integration, and deployment testing.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution, including supporting defect analysis and root-cause investigation.
• Maintain test execution records, traceability, testing metrics, and status reports.
• Support data validation, data migration testing, integration testing, and business process validation.
• Participate in sprint and release testing, defect triage, smoke testing, deployment validation, and post-deployment verification.
• Coordinate testing activities with business users, Business Analysts, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and third-party vendors.
• Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, training presentations, process documentation, knowledge articles, FAQs, and other business-readiness materials.
• Support training sessions, demonstrations, user walkthroughs, knowledge transfer, and user adoption activities.
• Support go-live, business readiness, operational transition, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
• Identify appropriate opportunities to use approved AI tools to improve testing, documentation, training, and knowledge-transfer activities, with human review and validation of AI-generated content.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, and business stakeholders to ensure testing and training materials accurately reflect approved processes and system functionality.

Must-Haves

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as Information Technology or Business.

Work Experience

• 15+ years coordinating testing activities with business users, Business Analysts, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and third-party vendors.
• 15+ years developing end-user training materials such as user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, process documentation, training presentations, and knowledge articles.
• 15+ years identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating defects through resolution, and maintaining test execution records, testing metrics, trackers, and status reporting.
• 15+ years of experience in software testing methodologies, UAT, and business process validation, including developing and executing test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, and test plans based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• 15+ years supporting data validation, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and deployment readiness activities.
• 15+ years working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with sprint-based testing cycles.

Nice-to-Haves

Certifications

• Active Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certification.
• Agile certification.
• Professional qualification in Test Management, such as ISTQB or QAI.
• Prosci change management certification or designation.
• SAFe 6 Practice Consultant certification.

Work Experience

• 15+ years designing role-based training programs and learning plans.
• 11+ year developing and delivering training materials and enabling teams on data, analytics, and AI best practices, governance, and platform adoption, including leveraging AI-assisted tools for test cases, test scenarios, training guides, user documentation, job aids, FAQs, and knowledge articles.
• 15+ years supporting, delivering, and/or facilitating end-user training sessions, workshops, demonstrations, or knowledge-transfer activities in classroom, virtual, or hybrid settings.
• 15+ years supporting business readiness and/or deployment readiness, go-live activities, post-implementation stabilization, hypercare, and operational transition.
• 12+ years supporting licensing, regulatory, permitting, or citizen-facing service transformation initiatives.
• 12+ years working with ServiceNow applications, workflows, stories, and acceptance criteria.
