Role Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is a critical member of the project team, contributing to the planning and execution of projects from ideation to completion. The role focuses on identifying opportunities to optimize processes, eliminate roadblocks, and deliver outcomes that exceed stakeholder expectations while adding significant business value.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on project planning, prioritization, and design phases.
- Ensure the project team maintains focus on solving the core business problem.
- Define and manage project scope in alignment with business objectives.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Support IT and Digital Development teams by working on detailed business requirements.
- Create and monitor sprint plans, continuously seeking opportunities for optimization.
- Organize and lead project updates and working sessions across various organizational levels.
- Partner with business and technical teams to support project deliverables.
- Identify project issues and roadblocks, implementing mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Provide actionable feedback and recommendations to improve project outcomes and processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a BSA, particularly within Scrum teams.
- Guidewire BillingCenter Ace Certification is required.
- Proven Scrum Master experience.
- Strong knowledge of Agency Bill, Broker Fees, and Commission workflows.
- Experience working on conversion projects is a strong asset.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in personal insurance.
- CIP designation (preferred) or substantial insurance domain knowledge.
- Consistent focus on delivering business outcomes and achieving measurable benefits.
- Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, both formal and informal.
- Process-oriented mindset for creating and maintaining project artifacts.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven with a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with conversion projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects efficiently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
