  • Occasional onsite meetings/work sessions in Edmonton may be required with reasonable notice.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced QA Automation Developers to support large-scale digital transformation and service modernization initiatives. The selected consultants will work across multiple Agile product teams, helping deliver high-quality digital services through automated testing, quality engineering, and continuous improvement.

The role involves working on multiple projects while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, designers, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation test strategies and test plans.
  • Create and maintain automation test scripts.
  • Design and execute:
    • System Testing
    • Load Testing
    • Performance Testing
    • Security Testing
    • End-to-End Testing
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites.
  • Support CI/CD automation processes.
  • Promote QA best practices including:
    • Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
    • Code Quality
    • Test Coverage
  • Support reusable automation components.
  • Assist with automation metrics and reporting.
  • Support AI-enabled testing initiatives where applicable.
  • Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams.

Must Have

  • Minimum 2 years of experience coding and developing new automation testing scripts using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience creating and modifying automation test scripts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preparing or supporting automation test plans and automation test cases.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using automation testing frameworks.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using GitHub.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Load Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing and/or End-to-End Testing.
  • Conflict of Interest Attestation (Mandatory).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with API Testing.
  • Experience using Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience with Cucumber and/or Gherkin.
  • Experience establishing automation testing metrics.
  • Experience implementing QA automation standards within an organization.
  • Experience with Jira Xray.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Work must be completed from within Canada.
  • Candidate must provide their own computer, software, internet connection and workspace.
  • Criminal Record Check required. 
  • Must complete mandatory onboarding and compliance training including Privacy, Security, Information Management and Workplace Respect.
