Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler with deep expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain and strong capabilities in data analysis, data modeling, governance, and schema management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing complex enterprise data structures, ensuring data quality, and designing scalable data models aligned with industry standards such as ACORD and enterprise canonical data models.

This role also requires strong familiarity with policy administration systems including OneShield and other Policy Management Systems (PMS).

Key Responsibilities

P&C Insurance Data Analysis & Modeling

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate P&C insurance requirements into scalable data solutions
• Support insurance business domains including:
  • Policy lifecycle
  • Quote lifecycle
  • Rating
  • Endorsements
  • Claims
  • Billing
• Perform in-depth data analysis and profiling to assess:
  • Data quality
  • Completeness
  • Consistency
  • Data integrity across multiple systems

Enterprise Data Modeling

Design and implement robust enterprise data models including:

Relational & Analytical Modeling

• Relational and Denormalized Data Modeling
• Dimensional Modeling
  • Star Schema
  • Snowflake Schema
• Data Vault 2.0 Modeling
  • Hubs
  • Links
  • Satellites

Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

• Implement and manage:
  • SCD Type 1
  • SCD Type 2
  • SCD Type 3
• Apply appropriate SCD strategies based on business requirements

Change Data Capture (CDC)

• Support CDC frameworks and incremental data ingestion processes
• Enable synchronization between source and target systems

Data Governance & Quality

• Conduct data balancing, auditing, and reconciliation activities
• Define and enforce enterprise data governance standards
• Support:
  • Metadata management
  • Data lineage
  • Data quality controls
  • Data stewardship processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements within the insurance industry

XML / JSON / Schema Management

• Analyze and process:
  • XML
  • JSON
  • XSD structures
• Maintain and enhance Java-based schemas and enterprise schema frameworks
• Handle:
  • Schema evolution
  • Schema drift
  • Backward compatibility
  • Forward compatibility

Enterprise Integration & Canonical Modeling

• Work with industry-standard insurance data models such as ACORD
• Design and maintain enterprise canonical data models for interoperability
• Integrate and analyze data from:
  • OneShield
  • Policy Management Systems (PMS)
  • Downstream reporting and analytics platforms
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support:
  • Schema versioning
  • Canonical modeling
  • Data integration governance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Domain Expertise

• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain experience is mandatory
• Experience working with:
