Senior Program Manager - Data

What You’ll Do:

  • Stakeholder Management: Lead large programs and manage executive expectations.
  • Program & Project Planning: Develop integrated project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and allocation of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead project teams, including internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Guide and support the team to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Champion strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members to improve collaboration and project success.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Scope Management: Work closely with the business to baseline and monitor project scope; activate change requests as needed.
  • Financial Management: Produce cost models, maintain budgets and expenditures, and make necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and best practices.
  • Governance: Maintain project documentation including project plans, status reports, and other artefacts.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues and obstacles to keep projects on track.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Mandatory background and experience in Insurance and Financial sectors, delivering on large-scale Strategic Data Transformation Programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • 15+ years of experience managing large-scale programs with budgets of $10MM+ and multi-year timelines.
  • Proven experience managing and leading Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Visualization projects from initiation to successful completion.
  • Experience leading proposal development including cost estimation, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Strong client engagement experience ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
  • Experience collaborating with Enterprise Data Architecture teams to ensure compliance with data principles.
  • Successfully managed at least 2-3 end-to-end implementations in data warehouse/data lake/data visualization projects, including at least one in the government sector.
  • 5+ years of enterprise Data Management experience, preferably in a high-tech or large enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in one or more technologies: SAS, IBM, Informatica, Microsoft, AWS, Qlik, etc.
  • Understanding of data collection, correlation, and analysis.
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with clients, team members, and executives.
  • Highly organized and proactive; delivers on business objectives and deadlines.
  • Experience managing complex work across cross-functional teams, including leading product data governance initiatives.
  • Skilled in defining and enforcing data ownership, quality, and stewardship across critical enterprise data.
  • Experienced in supporting senior executives through enterprise data governance decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate across business, technology, reporting, product management, change management, and communications teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Financial proficiency and experience operating under tight governance.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects within a program structure.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale budgets.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Teams, SharePoint.
  • Proficient in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong knowledge of various project management methodologies.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and meeting leadership skills.
  • Ability to support, influence, and negotiate project decisions using data.
