Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Service Designers to support digital transformation and service innovation initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment. The role focuses on improving existing services and designing new user-centric solutions using modern service design and human-centered design methodologies.

Candidates will work closely with cross-functional teams including business, product, and technical stakeholders to enhance service delivery and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply human-centered design methodologies to improve services and user experiences

• Conduct user research, field studies, and behavioral analysis

• Lead and participate in co-design workshops and stakeholder sessions

• Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and process maps

• Create and test prototypes to validate design solutions

• Translate user needs and business goals into actionable design strategies

• Define and refine user stories and support backlog activities

• Conduct usability testing and analyze results

• Measure service performance and provide data-driven insights

• Collaborate with business, technical, and product teams

• Support change management and adoption of new services and processes

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in service design research and outputs

• Minimum 3+ years of experience working in or with public sector environments

• Minimum 2+ years of experience working in Agile cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience conducting user research and generating insights

• Experience creating journey maps, service blueprints, and design artifacts

• Experience in digital transformation initiatives

• Experience in large-scale or complex service design projects

• Experience in change management and service adoption strategies

Additional Details

• Work must be performed from within Canada

• Occasional travel within Alberta may be required

• Candidate must provide own equipment

• Background check and security clearance may be required
