Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable AWS cloud solutions while working directly with clients and business stakeholders. This role requires strong technical expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and DevOps practices, along with excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Architect highly available and fault-tolerant AWS solutions
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Manage AWS services including:
    • EC2
    • VPC
    • IAM
    • RDS
    • S3
    • EKS
    • Lambda
    • CloudWatch
  • Implement cloud security best practices, compliance controls, and cost optimization strategies
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues
  • Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations

Client-Facing Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients regarding AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture
  • Gather client requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead architecture reviews, cloud migration discussions, and optimization initiatives
  • Provide technical recommendations, cloud best practices, and strategic guidance to clients
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and status calls
  • Assist with incident response and root cause analysis for client environments
  • Create and present technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution designs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client expectations and SLAs are successfully met

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS
  • Proven experience in client-facing, consulting, or stakeholder management roles
  • Deep expertise in AWS networking, security, and core cloud services
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Linux administration and scripting experience using Bash and/or Python
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications such as:
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS
  • Experience working in MSP or managed services environments
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation tools
