Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong cybersecurity expertise to lead and deliver enterprise-grade security initiatives end-to-end.
This role requires a solid background in secure architecture, risk assessment, and stakeholder management, with the ability to drive high-impact projects within complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives from initiation through delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives
Security Architecture
- Design and review secure architectures across network, cloud, and application environments
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards and best practices
Risk & Incident Management
- Drive incident response planning and readiness
- Conduct Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and security risk evaluations
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders
- Translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights
- Provide leadership across cross-functional teams
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with industry frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Support implementation of security policies, tools, and governance models
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Active cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, (ISC)², or equivalent)
- Willingness to undergo Criminal Record Check and Enhanced Security Clearance
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in secure architecture design and review (network, cloud, application)
- 5+ years of experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise security tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 E5, Azure AD)
- 5+ years of experience managing stakeholders across business and technical teams
- 5+ years of experience delivering end-to-end cybersecurity initiatives

3+ years of experience in:
- Cybersecurity incident response planning and playbooks
- Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and security risk assessments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications
- PMP Certification (Project Management Institute)
Experience
- Experience with cloud architecture and integration (Azure preferred)
- Exposure to privacy impact assessments and security risk coordination
- Experience in enterprise vulnerability management programs
- Background in public sector or court environments
- Familiarity with information management and cybersecurity policies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and Snowflake
Work Requirements
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in Edmonton, Alberta
