Duration: Approximately 12 Months + Potential Extension (Up to 6 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trainer – Intermediate to support a large-scale Procurement System Modernization initiative. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of engaging learning solutions that enable successful adoption of enterprise business processes and ERP systems.

Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and change management professionals, you will create role-based training programs, facilitate learning sessions, and continuously improve training content to ensure successful learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced training programs.
  • Develop role-based curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, presentations, job aids, and other learning materials.
  • Lead curriculum development projects from planning through implementation.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions for diverse audiences across the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors, and project teams to identify learning needs and ensure training readiness.
  • Establish and maintain training governance, including quality assurance, review cycles, version control, and content maintenance.
  • Measure training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, attendance metrics, and performance insights, and continuously improve learning content.
  • Mentor junior trainers and promote consistent training standards and delivery practices.
  • Utilize approved digital collaboration tools and AI productivity tools to enhance content development, delivery, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing communication and training materials.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading curriculum design projects from inception to completion.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering ERP training (Finance, HCM/Payroll, Supply Chain, Procurement, or similar ERP systems).
  • Experience designing and delivering instructor-led and virtual training.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting training needs analyses and developing competency-based learning programs.
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise training plans.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness using formative and summative assessment methods.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in large organizations.
  • Experience developing multimedia learning content and computer-based training videos.
  • Experience with Digital Adoption Platforms (e.g., WalkMe).
  • Experience using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or NotebookLM.
  • Working knowledge of SAP applications.

Work Arrangement

  • Onsite – 5 days per week in Edmonton, Alberta.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Alberta Time).
  • Work must be performed from within Canada.
  • Equipment will be provided.

Additional Requirements

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Completion of mandatory security, privacy, and organizational onboarding training.
