Role Summary

We are seeking a Guidewire PC Developer with Guidewire Cloud certification and at least one year of hands-on experience working with Guidewire Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development and configuration of PolicyCenter (PC), and will have exposure to the broader Guidewire ecosystem.

You will be part of our Software Engineering Group, working alongside cross-functional, globally distributed teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions in the Property & Casualty insurance space. This role reports directly to the AVP - Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret business and software requirements.
  • Build architecture diagrams and technical design documentation.
  • Design and configure screens, business rules, and workflows in Guidewire PC.
  • Code, package, and deploy software solutions using Guidewire tools.
  • Apply and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform debugging, unit testing, and peer code reviews.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team skill development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of Guidewire development experience, specifically with PolicyCenter.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Cloud.
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification (Associate or Ace) is mandatory.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Guidewire PC Configuration
    • GOSU programming
    • Guidewire Batch processes and plugins
    • Coding and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Agile development tools: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.
  • Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Guidewire BillingCenter (BC) or ClaimCenter (CC) configuration.
  • Experience with additional programming languages (Java, Python).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (e.g., MS SQL Server).
  • Understanding of design thinking and customer-centric application development.
  • Experience in full-stack web application development and REST/JSON API design.

Certifications

  • Guidewire Cloud Certification (Associate or Ace) - Mandatory.
