Contract Details
- Duration: Initial term with extension potential (up to 12 months)
- Hours: 7.25 hours/day
- Weekly Hours: 36.25 hours
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:15 AM – 04:30 PM (Alberta Time)
- Remote: 100% remote (within Canada), with occasional onsite meetings (up to 3–4 times per month)
Role Overview
The Change Manager will develop and execute organizational change strategies to support stakeholders through the transition from current to future state. Reporting to the Service Delivery leadership team, the role is responsible for planning, coordinating, communicating, and delivering change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and project delivery, with an understanding of software development and project implementation lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute organizational change management strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, operational teams, vendors, trainers, and cross-functional teams.
- Support project planning, scheduling, resource estimation, and work plan development.
- Assist with project risk and issue management.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and manage stakeholder engagement.
- Perform change impact assessments.
- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans.
- Create communication materials and engaging content.
- Develop and implement resistance management strategies.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct organizational readiness assessments.
- Define and measure change management success metrics.
- Monitor change progress and identify risks related to organizational change.
- Plan and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, leadership, and executives.
- Deliver presentations to various organizational levels, including executive leadership.
- Support successful rollout and adoption of new technology solutions.
- Promote effective communication to support organizational change and end-user adoption.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Meets the required education criteria.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Organizational Change Manager on a qualifying project.
- 8+ years of experience developing change management deliverables.
- 5+ years of experience developing communication materials for stakeholders.
- Must successfully complete the required conflict of interest attestation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining and measuring change management success metrics.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to executives and stakeholders.
- Experience creating communication strategies and deliverables.
- Experience managing change-related risks.
- Experience building strong relationships with leadership and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading stakeholder meetings across all organizational levels.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 2016 or later.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Experience working with or testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions (CRM and Finance).
Equipment Requirements
- Candidate must provide their own computer and related equipment.
- Windows is preferred due to compatibility with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- All contractor equipment, software, office setup, and related expenses are the responsibility of the contractor.
Background Check & Training
- Criminal background check required prior to project commencement.
- Mandatory training includes security awareness and privacy-related training, along with other required onboarding courses.
