Sr. Solution Architect – Business Intelligence

Job Summary

A hands-on Senior BI Architect responsible for the full BI lifecycle—from source data analysis and ETL/ELT development to analytics, reporting, and platform implementation. This role leads the design and build-out of the client’s Data & Analytics platforms, enabling self-service BI, data discovery, and predictive analytics. The Architect provides technical leadership, champions modern BI technologies, and mentors teams to elevate BI maturity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate BI architecture concepts and collaborate with IT and business teams.
• Lead BI platform and data architecture design (data lake, data mesh, modern cloud BI).
• Evaluate and propose new BI technologies, contributing to BI strategy and roadmap.
• Deliver analytics solutions—dashboards, reports, and insights—to support informed decision-making.
• Design automated, scalable, and secure BI processes and standards.
• Ensure best-practice software engineering principles (scalability, maintainability, extensibility).
• Provide 24/7 rotational application support and perform other assigned duties.

Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years software development; 7+ years BI architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in CS preferred.
• Experience defining BI strategy and roadmaps for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Expertise with Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, and modern data architectures.
• Strong ETL/ELT development, data integration, systems analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with source control, Agile methodologies, automated testing/deployment, and ITIL framework.
• Experience collaborating with Business Analysts on requirements, prototyping, and validation.
